Driving and dementia toolkit helps determine best time to “hang up the keys”

December 4, 2013

Dr. Anna Byszewski and her colleagues have developed a research-based toolkit to help people with dementia and their caregivers plan for retirement from driving. The kit includes a colour-coded algorithm, with different colours representing different safety levels for driving. For details, see BMC Geriatrics or an interview with Dr. Byszewski on Elderbranch.com.
