Emergency medicine group wins national awards
July 6, 2017
Members of the Department of Emergency Medicine recently received four prestigious
awards from the Canadian Association of Emergency Medicine
.
Dr.
Venkatesh Thiruganasambandamoorthy
(pictured at right) won the
Dr. Ian Stiell Researcher of the Year Award
for his work on conditions such as
fainting
(syncope) and
chest pain
.
Dr.
Ian Stiell
won the
Grant Innes Research Paper and Presentation Award
for his work on
heart failure
.
Dr.
Shannon Fernando
won the
Top Resident Research Abstract Award
for his work on sepsis.
Dr.
Steven Choi
won the
Dr. Richard Kohn Memorial Award for Mentorship in Emergency Medicine.
