Welcome to the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute's Emergency Medicine Research (EMR) Group website. The group is headed by Dr Ian Stiell, who is Professor and Chair of the Department of Emergency Medicine, Distinguished Professor and University Health Research Chair at the University of Ottawa. We have 6 investigators, 3 research fellows, 20 research staff, and are currently conducting more than 15 major projects. Principal areas of focus within clinical emergency research include clinical decisions rules, resuscitation, prehospital care, and patient safety.
