Congratulations to Dr Ian Stiell, ROC Investigators and contributors on the latest ROC paper published entitled "Regional Variation in Out-of-Hospital Cardiac Arrest Incidence and Outcome" in the September 24th issue of JAMA. Dr. Christian Vaillancourt has just received a Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada research grant for his proposal "Effectiveness of dispatch-assisted CPR instructions: an evaluation of 9-1-1 calls".
March, 2007 - Congratulations to Dr George Wells
Dr. George Wells was awarded the Canadian Society of Clinical Investigation Distinguished Scientist Award for 2007. Dr. Wells is a senior scientist at the OHRI and the University of Ottawa Heart Institute. He has played a large role in the formation and development of the OHRI Clinical Epidemiology Program as well as the University of Ottawa clinical research community in general.
