Ottawa researcher elected Co-Chair of Cochrane Collaboration

Dr. Jeremy Grimshaw has been elected Co-Chair of the Cochrane Collaboration, a highly prestigious international research network that helps people make informed healthcare decision. The announcement was made on October 28, 2010, after more than 400 Cochrane members unanimously voted for Dr. Grimshaw at the 18th Annual Cochrane Colloquium in Colorado. The Cochrane Collaboration is the world’s leading independent assessor of medical interventions and medical research, with more than 28,000 contributors from more than 100 countries. Dr. Grimshaw is a Senior Scientist at the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute (Clinical Epidemiology Program) and a Professor at the University of Ottawa (Faculty of Medicine). He also holds a Canada Research Chair in Health Knowledge Transfer and Uptake.
