Government of Ontario funds training in systematic reviews and health economics

The Government of Ontario has awarded Dr. David Moher $2.1 million over three years to provide training and support to Health Quality Ontario teams that are involved in systematic reviews and health economics. The award was made through the Government of Ontario’s Health Technology Fund, which supports research institutes that are focused on multi-centred clinical trials, systematic reviews and economic evaluation, as well as institutes engaged in evaluating the safety and usability of health technologies. The Ottawa Hospital Research Institute (OHRI) is the research arm of The Ottawa Hospital and is an affiliated institute of the University of Ottawa, closely associated with the university’s Faculties of Medicine and Health Sciences.
