Another great year for the Kidney Research Centre

January 13, 2016

The Kidney Research Centre has just released its Annual Report for 2014-2015. The group published more than 60 manuscripts with the goal of improving prevention, detection and treatment of kidney disease.

Their research spans basic to clinical, from investigating how fragments of cell membrane can help detect and mediate kidney injury to studying the impact of common anti-rejection drugs on kidney transplant patients.

In addition, since April 2014, Dr. Swapnil Hiremath’s Twitter-based nephrology journal club #NephJC has held 29 sessions with over 1,000 participants and 15,000 tweets.
