Senior Clinical Research Associate and Publications Officer
Location: General Campus - CCW 5225 (speaker will present from the location at the General); Civic Campus - Loeb Conference Room 3; Riverside - SEGWHC Boardroom (7-240, 7th Floor)

Did you know that there is evidence to suggest that many published manuscripts are so poorly reported that they can't be used or built upon effectively? Non-reporting, poor quality reporting and bias are widespread.

Take advantage of this opportunity to join us for an interactive session with Dr. Kelly Cobey as she explains best practices in publishing and changes in publication formats. Attendance will help to ensure papers you are a part of meet quality standards in reporting.

Learning Objectives:

  • Discuss how open science expectations impact publishing
  • Discuss how manuscript authorship should be decided
  • Discuss novel formats of publishing, such as pre-prints and open peer review

Take the opportunity to ask questions in this interactive session, an informative session for coordinators and investigators!

Please note that OHRI seminars are open to all members of OHRI and partner institutions. Members of the general public are asked to contact the communications office (613-737-8899 x 73325; for more information about the research presented at OHRI seminars.
