Research Interests

Dr. Moledina’s research focuses on health equity, the well-being of vulnerable populations, health advocacy, equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI), and serious illness communication.

Brief Biography

Dr. Aliza Moledina is a General Internal Medicine physician at The Ottawa Hospital. She obtained her medical degree from the University of Ottawa and completed her core Internal Medicine residency at the University of Calgary, followed by subspecialty training in General Internal Medicine at the University of Ottawa. She also holds a Master of Science in Epidemiology from the University of Ottawa and is a former Action Canada Fellow, Canada’s top accelerator for emerging leaders interested in public policy. Dr. Moledina has held several leadership roles at The Ottawa Hospital, including serving as the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Representative for the Division of General Internal Medicine, Global Health Lead for the Department of Medicine, and Just Culture Physician Champion. She received the University of Ottawa Award for Leadership in Global Health in 2024.
