Research Interests
Dr. Solmi, MD, Psychiatrist, PhD, is interested in evidence-based psychiatry.
His methodological focus is on meta-research and cohort studies on clinically relevant topics.
His clinical focus is on prevention/early intervention in psychiatry, physical health in those with mental disorders, and psychopharmacology.
He has received national and international awards. He has published over 270 publications in peer-reviewed journal including World Psychiatry, JAMA Psychiatry, Lancet Psychiatry, American Journal of Psychiatry. His H-Index is 61. He is among Clarivate Highly Cited Researchers in Psychiatry and Psychology, 2021 (https://recognition.webofscience.com/awards/highly-cited/2021/)
Dr. Solmi welcomes students to be involved in meta-research projects on clinically relevant topics in psychiatry.
Brief Biography
Dr. Solmi graduated in MD, completed his PhD in Neurosciences, and Residency in Psychiatry at University of Padova, Italy. He has joined Psychiatry Department, University of Ottawa as Associate Professor in 2021.
