Research Interests

Critical Care Pharmacotherapy with a focus on the management of Atrial Fibrillation in critically ill patients. Other research interests include toxicology, glycemic control, and the management of severe sepsis.

Brief Biography

Dr. Kanji obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from the University of Alberta in 1997 after which he completed a pharmacy residency at the Ottawa Hospital in 1998. He then received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Wayne State University (Detroit, MI) in 2000 followed by a two-year post-doctoral fellowship in Critical Care Medicine completed in 2002. Dr. Kanji has been a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in the ICU of the Ottawa Hospital since 2002 and an Associate Scientist with the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute since 2003.
