

Mark Walker: Mark Graduated with his degree
in Medicine from Queen's University and then completed his Residency
in Obstetrics and Gynecology at The Ottawa General Hospital,
Ottawa, Ontario in 1998; Mark went on to pursue a Fellowship
through the University of Toronto. He soon recognized his passion
was researchand now continues to develop collaborations with
leaders in obstetrics, neonatology and internal medicine. In
2000, Mark joined the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology,
Maternal-Fetal Medicine Division, at The
Ottawa Hospital, General Campus. He is also an Assistant
Professor at the University of Ottawa and a new investigator
with the OHRI,
CEU. He has also begun to build on his epidemiologic
studies. He is presently completing a Masters degree in Epidemiology
from the University of Toronto, specializing in economic evaluation
and decision analysis.
Shi Wu Wen: In 1984 Shi Wu graduated with a
medical degree from Anhui Medical Collegein China. He moved to
North America to complete a M.Sc. in Epidemiology and Biostatistics,
at the University of Washington, in 1987. In 1993 he completed
his Ph.D. in Epidemiology and Biostatistics at McGill University,
Montreal, Quebec. As a Senior Epidemiologist at the Bureau of
Reproductive and Child Health, Health Canada, Shi Wu began to
develop working relationships with Perinatologists in Ottawa.
In January 2001, Dr. Wen became an Associate Professor with the
Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Ottawa Hospital,
as well as a Research Scientist with the Clinical Epidemiology
Program, at the Ottawa Health Research Institute, University
of Ottawa. As a methodologist Shi Wu has developed expertise
that sets him apart as a leader in his area of knowledge.
Ruth Rennicks White: As a founding member of
OMNI, Ruth's backgrounds in nursing and business have been instrumental
as Research Manager of the OMNI group. She provides guidance
and mentorship for all the research co-coordinators and is instrumental
in overseeing the implementation and progress of all study protocols,
human resources and staff development.
Barbara d'Entremont Harris: Barb comes with
a BScN and is a long-time employee of The Ottawa Hospital with
a BScN. Her vast experience which includes development of nursing
care plans has enabled her to develop scannable data collection
forms and she now works with the dataset for the CFI/OIT project.
