Objectives:
- To determine the effectiveness of transdermal nitroglycerine
(GTN) in reducing preterm delivery thereby reducing neonatal
morbidity.
- To determine the incidence of neonatal morbidity as a result
of prolongation of pregnancy.
- To determine if GTN reduces the incidence of delivery during
the 48 hours of treatment and/or reduces the incidence of preterm
delivery ie. delivery <34 week gestation.
- To determine if GTN has any significant maternal and/or fetal
side effects.
Duration of Study:
May 2001 to May 2006 |
