ICU admission linked to higher rate of future suicide compared with other hospitalizations
May 5, 2021 - An ICU admission is associated with a higher rate of suicide and self-harm after discharge when compared to hospital admissions without an ICU stay, according to the first study of its kind published in the medical journal The BMJ.
