Dr. Krishan Yadav
Associate Professor with the Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Ottawa and Scientist at the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute. I am currently focused on designing randomized trials to test optimal treatment strategies for emergency department patients who have skin and soft tissue infections.
Gabriel Sandino-Gold
Gabriel Sandino-Gold is a Multicentre Research Coordinator who has been a part of our team since 2018. He has led numerous studies in collaboration with emergency departments across the country, with a growing focus on randomized controlled trials. Gabriel works closely with Dr. Yadav on studies involving patients with skin and soft tissue infections in the emergency department. As a senior member of the team, he is regularly consulted at the outset of new projects and enjoys mentoring colleagues as they navigate the challenges of managing their own research. He has presented at national conferences and brings valuable experience in leveraging the EPIC EMR to support and enhance research efforts.
Angela Marcantonio
As a Senior Clinical Research Associate, Angela has been a dedicated member of the Acute Care Research Program at the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute since 2003. She supports and guides emergency medicine researchers through every stage of the research process, from project initiation to publication. She specializes in ethics submissions, grants, abstracts, and manuscript preparation. With a strong focus on compliance, communication, and mentorship, she helps ensure high-quality, impactful clinical research.
Cathy Clement
Cathy Clement is our Senior Clinical Research Program Manager who has been apart of the Emergency Medicine Research Team for over 30 years. Her focus is on the management of Human Resources, Finances, and Contractual obligations for Dr. Yadav’s Team.
Carolyne Kennedy
Carolyne has served as a dedicated Research Administrator with the Acute Care Research Program at the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute for over 15 years, delivering reliable and comprehensive operational support. As a key liaison within the department, she oversees administrative functions, manages office operations, facilitates human resources processes, and coordinates meetings, ensuring seamless support for Dr. Yadav’s team.She is also responsible for maintaining the team’s website profiles and the internal IRIS guide and contributes to broader organizational initiatives as a member of the OHRI Communications and Events team.
