Clinical Research Assistant II

Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Clinical Research Assistant II (CRA II) to join the Emergency Medicine Research Team at the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute. The successful candidate will work under the co-supervision of Drs. Alexandre Tran and Christian Vaillancourt on two funded trauma projects. The CRA II will be responsible for screening potential cases for inclusion, data collection and data entry as well as assistance with data cleaning, summary and preparing presentations and manuscripts as required. The successful candidate should be comfortable working in a team environment, have excellent attention-to-detail, be able to work with limited supervision once trained, possess excellent communication skills, be able to manage competing tasks and not be afraid to ask questions and seek help when needed. Strong performance will be provided with opportunities for renewal, career advancement and further skills development.

Basic Requirements (Education/Experience):
•Minimum of 2 years of experience in a health research environment
•Secondary school diploma in a related field
•Excellent organizational skills
•Strong time management skills and ability to effectively prioritize multiple projects.
•Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, etc.
•Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members.

Preferred Qualifications:
•Training and previous experience with electronic medical records (preferably EPIC) would be considered an asset but is not required.
•TCPS 2 and GCP training

Contract Details:
This is a 2-year full-time contract with the possibility of renewal.
Salary: Min: $26.447/hr. – Max: $31.155/hr
