Stem Cell Network profiles OHRI research commercialization opportunities

The
Stem Cell Network
(SCN) is profiling Dr. Duncan Stewart, Dr. Michael Rudnicki and Dr. May Griffith at OHRI / uOttawa as part of a series on commercialization opportunities arising from Network-funded research. Dr. Stewart is working on
gene-enhanced cell therapy for lung and cardiovascular disease
, while Dr. Rudnicki is working on
protein-based cell repair for diabetes and muscle degeneration
and Dr. May Griffith is investigating a
polymer cornea substitute to restore sight
.
SCN includes more than 80 scientists, clinicians, engineers and social scientists with international reputations working closely together to bring rigor and innovation to Canadian stem cell research. SCN is a Network of Centres of Excellence, Canada's flagship science and technology program. It is led by Dr. Michael Rudnicki at OHRI / uOttawa.
