Drs. Dawn Stacey and Ian Graham named Distinguished University Professors

Dawn Stacey and Ian Graham have both received the title of Distinguished University Professor from the University of Ottawa in recognition of their exceptional scholarly achievement, pre-eminence in their fields and solid teaching records. 

Dr. Stacey is recognized as the international authority in advancing the science of supporting patients’ involvement in healthcare decisions. She leads the Patient Decision Aid Research Group at OHRI that provides open access to user-friendly decision tools, training, and implementation resources https://decisionaid.ohri.ca.; https://ktcanada.ohri.ca/costars. Her research has directly influenced health policy in Canada and around the world. 

Dr. Graham is a pioneer and world leader in the field of knowledge translation for which he has authored several foundational works and created influential frameworks, tools and measures. At OHRI, Dr. Graham leads the Integrated Knowledge Translation Research Network, funded by a CIHR Foundation Grant (https://iktrn.ohri.ca/). Integrated knowledge translation is about doing research with the people who use it. The goals of the IKTRN are to advance understanding of the concept of IKT/research coproduction, assess the impact of IKT, and build IKT research capacity.
