The Health AI and Data Science (HAD) Program presents
Applications of Artificial Intelligence in Radiotherapy
Speaker: Cody Church and Mehan Haidari
Cody is a Clinical Medical Physicist at The Ottawa Hospital. He completed his residency at the Ottawa Hospital and his Doctorate at Dalhousie University. His research investigates automated treatment planning in radiotherapy using deep learning and computational methods to improve radiosurgery.

Mehan is a Medical Physics Resident at The Ottawa Hospital. He completed his Doctorate at Carleton University and his research investigates using deep learning for image synthesis and auto-segmentation with medical imaging data.
Location: Online via Zoom.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand the relationship between deep learning and artificial intelligence
  • Learn about traditional algorithms for deep learning (NN, CNN, etc.).
  • Training custom DL models (specifics of data pre-processing for different applications)
  • Two specific use-cases of customized DL modelling to expedite radiotherapy workflows
