The National features OHRI bone marrow stem cell transplant trial for MS
January 21, 2008
Dr. Mark Freedman was interviewed on CBC TV's The National about a clinical trial he leads with Dr. Harry Atkins. The MS-Society funded trial involves an experimental procedure to ‘reboot’ the immune system of MS patients by eliminating their existing immune system and starting a new one using stem cells derived from the patients’ own bone marrow.
