Research

Dr. Marc Carrier is a clinician scientist specializing in thrombosis. Dr. Carrier's clinical research is focused in venous thromboembolic disease and cancer, including cancer screening, prevention and management. He is currently leading a clinical trial with colleague Dr. Marc Rodger to determine if patients with deep vein blood clots (venous thromboembolism) should be offered extra screening for cancer. He has received funding from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research and the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario.
