Data Management Services


The Data Management Services (DMS) is a team of experienced web application programmers, database programmers, data entry clerks and a full-time manager. The DMS team is currently located at the Civic Campus in the main building on C4 level.

The DMS team provides expertise on how best to design, capture, store and manage data to support clinical research such as:

  • Design Case Report Forms (paper) and Electronics Case Report Forms (paperless)
  • Design and maintain data entry forms, tables, databases to collect data
  • Design, implement and support randomization systems (Web-based, Telephone IVR)
  • Design and perform database quality assurance, quality control, queries and reports
  • Design, implement and support networked-based and web-based applications for a wide range of electronic data capture (EDC) projects
  • Security of databases and data transfer devices
  • Linking and merging of databases
