Jeremy Grimshaw, David Moher and Peter Tugwell ranked among world’s top researchers

Drs. David Moher, Peter Tugwell, and Jeremy GrimshawDrs. David Moher, Peter Tugwell Jeremy Grimshaw,and Three senior scientists at The Ottawa Hospital, affiliated with uOttawa, have been ranked among the top researchers in the world for 2019. According to the Web of Science Group, Drs. Jeremy Grimshaw, David Moher and Peter Tugwell all have multiple papers that rank in the top one percent for citations in the field of Social Sciences, and Dr. Moher is ranked similarly in Clinical Medicine as well. Tens of thousands of other researchers have used and built upon their work to improve care for conditions ranging from cancer to stroke to arthritis.

  • Dr. Grimshaw leads The Ottawa Hospital’s Centre for Implementation Research and is a world-renowned expert in systematic reviews, knowledge translation and implementation science.
  • Dr. Moher leads The Ottawa Hospital’s Centre for Journalology and is a world-leader in research methods, reporting, systematic reviews and meta-science.
  • Dr. Peter Tugwell leads the University of Ottawa’s Centre for Health Equity and is also known around the world for his research in health equity and knowledge translation.

A total of 6,000 researchers made the Web of Science Highly Cited list this year, out of a total of nearly eight million around the world.
