OHRI partners with clinical departments, uOttawa and Faculty of Medicine to support 40 Clinical Research Chairs
The Ottawa Hospital Research Institute (OHRI) is supporting 40 Clinical Research Chairs as part of a new partnership with clinical departments, uOttawa's Faculty of Medicine and uOttawa's Office of the Vice-President, Research and Innovation.
Launched in 2010, the Clinical Research Chairs Program was designed to promote high-impact research that translates directly to improved patient outcomes. This year's competition, launched in February 2025, adhered to a transparent and rigorous peer-review process led by the Faculty of Medicine and including broad representation from research institutes and departments. New support from hospital-based research institutes enabled more new chairs to be funded in this round.
