Brief Biography

Dr. Yadav is an Associate Professor with the Department of Emergency Medicine, University of Ottawa, and Scientist with the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute. He completed his Royal College residency training in Emergency Medicine at the University of Ottawa in 2016. He has completed the Emergency Medicine Research Fellowship at the University of Ottawa and obtained a Master of Science in Epidemiology in 2018. He was awarded the Top New Investigator Abstract Award at the 2018 and 2022 Canadian Association of Emergency Physicians annual meeting.

Dr. Yadav's current research interests involve common infectious diseases that are treated in the Emergency Department. His current focus is on improving the care of patients with skin and soft tissue infections (i.e. cellulitis) with a goal toward achieving a meaningful reduction in: (a) unnecessary IV antibiotic use; (b) hospitalization; and (c) treatment failure rates.

His main interests are in conducting randomized controlled trials to answer important questions about optimal treatment options for skin and soft tissue infections in the emergency department setting.
