Research Interests

My principal areas of research interest are;
-Transfusion utilization and patient blood management

-Patient centred outcomes in transfusion medicine

-Quality assurance and continuous quality improvement in transfusion medicine


 

Brief Biography

Dr. Saidenberg received her medical degree from McMaster University and continued to do post-graduate education in internal medicine and hematology there. She came to uOttawa to complete fellowship training in Transfusion Medicine. She presently works as a clinical and laboratory hematologist. She is the assistant director of the Ottawa Regional Bleeding Disorders Program as well as The Ottawa Hospital Therapeutic Apheresis Program. Dr. Saidenberg is an active educator; teaching about hematology and transfusion at the undergraduate, post-graduate and continuing medical education levels.
