Biography

Dr. Momtahan is a registered nurse with a PhD in Human Factors Psychology. In her current role, she mentors and supports approximately 4,000 nurses with regards to nursing research activities at The Ottawa Hospital and co-chairs the Nursing Research Work Group. 

Previous positions include:

University of Ottawa Heart Institute, Nurse Scientist (2002 – 2007)
Nortel – Human Factors Professional from 1996 - 2002
Clinical nurse, mainly in critical care in various hospitals in Canada (1976 - 1986), last FT position in the Recovery Room at the Ottawa General Hospital (1983 - 1986)
